Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Nairobi
Our representatives will warmly meet you on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport; transfer you to your city hotel. We will brief you on your safari arrangements. Enjoy overnight at the hotel where you are booked on bed and breakfast
Day 2 Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Enjoy breakfast then our guide driver will pick you from the hotel; drive to Amboseli National Park. You will be arriving for lunch. This afternoon depart on a game viewing drive. Weather permitting can you can enjoy the view of the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is home to the lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest among others. Return back to the lodge, enjoy dinner and overnight
Day 3 Amboseli National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Masai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. Enjoy meals and overnight
Day 4 Amboseli National Park – Tarangire National Park
Breakfast then transfer to the Namanga border for immigration. Change of cars then proceed via Arusha to the Tarangire National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in this park; home to the burchells zebra, buffalo, lions, the Savannah Elephants, impalas, the Masai Giraffe, gazelle, hartebeest and eland among many others. Later drive to your lodge/camp for check-in, dinner and overnight
Day 5 Lake Manyara National Park
Breakfast then proceed to Mto wa mbu village for a cultural tour. Drive to the Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing drives. The park is home to the blue monkeys, dainty bushbuck, forest hornbills, large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, giraffes among many others. Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife with than 400 species having been recorded. Later drive to your lodge/camp for check-in, dinner and overnight
Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Enjoy some nice breakfast then with picnic lunch depart for a crater tour. We descend some 610meters into the Ngorongoro crater floor which is one of the richest wildlife habitats. Here lives the giant Savannah Elephants, spotted hyenas, wild dogs, Burchell’s zebras, and prides of lions among many others. The crater is the largest free standing caldera in the world, measuring some 10km in diameter. The scenery here is breath-taking and amazing. Later drive to your lodge/camp for check-in, dinner and overnight
Day 7 Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Serengeti National Park - Central
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Cultural Masai village visit in Ngorongoro at US$ 30 Per Person
This morning we enjoy an early breakfast then depart with picnic lunch boxes to the Serengeti National Park. We stop at the Ol dupai museum where some of archaeologist Dr. Leakey’s discovered remains of the ancestral man have been kept. The resident expert will take us around, explaining about the artifacts. Enjoy enroute game viewing drive to central Serengeti. Later check-in, enjoy dinner and overnight
Day 8 Serengeti National Park - Kogatende
Enjoy breakfast; we depart with picnic lunch for a full day of game viewing drives towards the North (Kogatende area) where between July through to September you can catch the wildebeest migration. In addition to this world spectacle (migration), the vast game park is home to hundreds of thousands of wildlife. These include the elusive leopard, black and white rhino, impalas, grant and Thompson gazelles, Masai giraffes, Burchell’s zebras, wart hogs among many others. The landscape is stunning, varied and scenic. Later drive to your lodge/camp for check-in, dinner and overnight
Day 9 Serengeti National Park - Kogatende
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Balloon Safari over the Serengeti Plains with a champagne breakfast at US$ 500 Per Person
Enjoy breakfast then depart with packed lunch for a full day of game viewing drives which majorly includes following and watching the wildebeest migration. Later return back to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 Serengeti - Masai Mara Game Reserve
Early morning breakfast then depart with picnic lunch to the Sirari/Isebania border for immigration. Change cars and driver guides then proceed to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, which is home to hundreds of wildlife species. These include the lion, Cape buffalo, the savannah elephant, black rhino and the elusive leopard, impalas, Masai giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, Thompson & grant’s gazelles, topi, the resident wildebeests among many others. Check-in dinner and overnight at your lodge/camp.
Day 11 Masai Mara Game Reserve
OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Balloon Safari over the Mara plains – US$ 425 Per Person or visit a traditional Masai Village (at an extra cost – US$ 30 Per person).
Enjoy breakfast then full day of game viewing drives in search of the Big-Five among many other wildlife species. In addition to wildlife, the Mara has nice, varied scenery to enjoy. The vast plains and grasslands is also home to hundreds of bird species. Enjoy meals and overnight at your lodge/camp
Day 12 Departure
Enjoy breakfast then check-out. We drive you back to Nairobi which takes proximately 6 hours. Alternatively, at an extra cost of USD 250 Per Person, you may opt for a one-hour light scheduled flight to the Wilson Airport. If time allows, you will enjoy a farewell lunch in Nairobi before our guide driver drops you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
