Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival Nairobi

    Our representatives will warmly meet you on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport; transfer you to your hotel. We will brief you on your safari arrangements. Enjoy overnight at the hotel where you are booked on bed and breakfast

  • Day 2 Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

    Enjoy breakfast then our guide driver will warmly meet then drive you to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy – a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy – is situated at the equator, between the foot hills of the Aberdare and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya. You will be arriving for check-in, lunch then an afternoon game viewing drive.

    The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest and cheetah. You will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary which is one of the highlight experiences here. Enjoy dinner and overnight

  • Day 3 Ol Pejeta - Lake Nakuru National Park

    Enjoy breakfast then drive to the Lake Nakuru National Park with a brief stopover at Thompson’s Falls. We will be arriving for check-in and lunch. We depart on an afternoon game viewing drive. The scenic 188km2 Lake Nakuru game park is home to the black and white rhino, prides lions, cape buffalos, waterbucks, reticulated giraffes, hartebeests among many others. When the water levels in the lake are low, the 68km2 alkaline lake is famous for the thousands of greater and lesser flamingoes. The park has the largest euphorbia forest in Africa. Enjoy dinner and overnight

  • Day 4 Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara Game Reserve

    Enjoy an early breakfast and depart to the Masai Mara National Reserve arriving for check-in and lunch. Depart on an afternoon game viewing drive. Enjoy dinner and overnight

  • Day 5 Masai Mara Game Reserve

    OPTIONAL ACTIVITY: Balloon Safari over the Mara plains or visit a traditional Masai Village (at an extra cost)

    Full day of game viewing drives in the Masai Mara Game Reserve in search of the hundreds of wildlife species the game reserve is famous for. These include the lion, Cape buffalo, the savannah elephant, black rhino and the elusive leopard, impalas, Masai giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, Thompson & grant’s gazelles, topis, the resident wildebeests among many others. Enjoy meals and overnight

  • Day 6 Masai Mara – Nairobi – Fly to Kigali (Rwanda)

    Enjoy breakfast then check-out. You may opt to drive or take a one-hour flight (at an extra cost) to Nairobi. Enjoy a farewell lunch at the Carnivore restaurant (if time permits) then our guide driver will drop you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight to Kigali, Rwanda. Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, our representative will warmly meet you outside the airport arrivals section and transfer you to your hotel.

  • Day 7 Kigali/ Bwindi

    Enjoy morning Breakfast & check out. Enjoy a city tour of Kigali including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial as a historical component of your trip.

     

    The Kigali Genocide Memorial center was officially opened on 7th April 2004 to mark the tenth commemoration of the 1994 genocide against Tutsi in Rwanda. The memorial is the final resting place for up to 259 000 victims of the genocide and serves as a place where people can grieve for their lost loved ones and remember them. It also serves as a museum where both local and international visitors can learn about the history, implementation and consequences of the genocide.

    You then drive for approximately about 5 hours across the Rwanda/Uganda border to the Mutanda Lake Resort. Enjoy dinner and overnight

  • Day 8 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Gorilla Trekking

    Enjoy early breakfast.

    6.20 AM: Transfer to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarters for the first gorilla trek.

    7.00 AM: Briefing by your trackers then start of your amazing Gorilla Tracking adventure.

     

    You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you 2-6 hours. Later return back to the hotel. Enjoy meals and overnight 

    Gorilla permits are only confirmed upon payment of deposit. The total amount is paid 60 days before the travel date (Non –refundable).

  • Day 9 Fly Kigali to Nairobi

    Enjoy breakfast at the lodge then drive some 5 hours across the Uganda/Rwanda border to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight. (Cost of flight not included). A flight from 5PM is recommended. Fly to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
