Arusha Coffee Lodge
This lodge comprises of 30 Plantation Houses – inclusive of 12 Plantation Suites – that radiate out into the evergreen coffee fields. Arusha Coffee Lodge has been designed around the original landowner’s home that dates back to the early 1900’s. Lying on the gentling rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru is the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha.
The homely feel of the Lodge is by no means accidental as the origins of the homestead continue to emit glimpses of times-gone-by. The friendly and personable staff help create an ambiance that continues to draw appreciation from all those who visit and stay.
Within the main Plantation House reside an ‘a la carte’ restaurant, an intimate bar and a cozy lounge, all of which possess inviting open log fires that will fill the cool night air with comforting warmth and a welcoming glow. Legendary Lodge
Set in lush tropical gardens on a working coffee farm just outside Arusha, the Legendary Lodge features six beautiful garden cottages, each with an inspiring view of Mount Meru from its own private veranda.
The lodge is designed with a unique blend of African arts and crafts, combined with old, colonial-style luxury, with king sized beds, a separate lounge with fireplace and ensuite bathrooms with deep tubs and refreshing showers. The two-bedroom Kahawa cottage is ideal for families, while two cozy ensuite rooms are available in The Old Farmhouse for those who prefer to be closer to the dining room and guest lounge.

&BEYOND LAKE MANYARA TREE LODGE
The only permanent luxury lodge in Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is renowned for its romantic stilted tree house suites that are shaded by a mahogany forest. After an exhilarating game drive, guests stop for sundowners on the lakeshore below the Great Rift Valley wall.
Hidden away high in the trees in a secluded corner of the national park, Lake Manyara Tree Lodge offers 10 sophisticated Treehouses with an amazing blend of natural indulgence and romance. Nestled in dense forest between the lakeshore and the steep Rift Valley escarpment, the lodge is perfectly positioned to explore the park’s wealth of habitats. Set in the remote southern region of the park, you would be surprised to see another vehicle on your game drive.
Each suite is a lofty tree house with private veranda and large windows that open up to the lush forest, welcoming in the sights and sounds of the African bush. Woodchip paths and natural branch railings blur the edges between the natural and the manmade, while wooden interiors and thatched roofs invite the surrounding forest indoors. Spacious bedrooms and sitting rooms float in a sea of green, opening up onto a leafy canopy. Even a soak in the large, free-standing tub offers a panoramic view, with an open air shower behind a simple bamboo screen.
Tantalizing aromas drift from the open, interactive kitchen, luring guests to watch as simple but delicious meals are prepared. The theatre of the open kitchen is translated into the drama of the dining boma, encircled by a tall fence of gnarled wood.
Sanctuary Swala Camp
Sanctuary Swala is located in a secluded, remote corner of the Tarangire, in total seclusion amongst giant acacia trees and looking out beyond the flat savannah. The picturesque landscape is filled with ancient baobab trees, ambling elephants and birds in flight. Built to the highest eco-friendly standards, this camp has a particularly low-carbon footprint.
Each of the twelve canvas pavilions is shaded by tall acacia trees and all are within sight of the well frequented water hole. They are unashamedly luxurious and exquisitely furnished but still close enough to nature to permit an exciting night under canvas. The tents feature a spacious open plan arrangement with comfortable king or twin beds, campaign chairs and plush sofas and boast an en-suite bathroom with both indoor and outdoor shower for that extra bit of luxury. Sip cocktails or enjoy scrumptious dinners on your own private veranda and watch the waterhole which regularly draws lions, leopards and resident bull elephants while your own personal attendant caters for your every need. Chem Chem Lodge
This camp is situated within a privileged Wildlife Management Area between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara known as the Burunge Wildlife Management Area. The Lodge is nestled on the picturesque western side of the wildlife concession and consists of eight secluded tent-style suites with an opulent main Lodge house.
The eight stylish, secluded tent-style suites have been exquisitely decorated to offer 5-star accommodation, each with spectacular, private lake views. Each suite, (100m²), has been created from a combination of canvas, lava-stones and wood, and are set a minimum of 80 metres apart to ensure complete privacy. Every tent boasts a luxury bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, a reading corner, dressing room, dressing gown and slippers, yoga mats and private patios complete with a luxurious day-bed.
The family suite consists of a full suite connected to a vintage-style tented room (50m²) with two single beds, a rocking chair, small desk, with its own bathroom (indoor shower) and dressing room. The two rooms are built on the same platform and are connected via a small wooden bridge. It can sleep up to four children or two adults.
The permanent structure of the Lodge’s main house reflects the form of a flamingo with its wings spread wide for landing. One wing holds the full service gourmet restaurant and an outside fire place, the other wing offers a bar, lounge, fire place and fully stocked library. The Lodge also boasts a viewing deck with awe-inspiring views over Lake Manyara. Outside, a pool is hidden in the trees to cool off in and escape from the afternoon heat. The Chem Chem Amani Spa offers a new meaning to utter relaxation.
Some experiences that form part of Chem Chem’s slow safari ethos include walking safaris with a private guide in Chem Chem’s 4000 hectare private wildlife concession, learning to read wildlife tracks and spoor, wilderness picnics, visiting Masai villages, dining under the stars or simply taking the time to sit and absorb the expansive Tanzanian landscape with a glass of Pinot Noir in hand.
Little Chem Chem
Known as the sunrise camp, Little Chem Chem is situated on the edge of an acacia forest. The camp is surrounded by the characteristic landscape of the Tarangire River with its impressive Baobab trees and overlooks the freshwater lake, Lake Burunge. The atmosphere at Little Chem Chem is welcoming, elegant and oozing authenticity of a bygone era. The luxury of sharing 16’000ha with only 10 guests sets the ideal stage where you can perfectly blend into the wilderness. Lions roam the camp and call each other at night; stately elephants march down to Lake Burunge to get a sprinkling of fresh water; cheetahs hunt on the plains facing the lake; leopards, eland and lesser kudu can be seen in the more dense woods in the inner part of the concession. And wherever there is water, the bird life is abundant and colourful.
Little Chem Chem offers five exquisitely decorated tents, each with a large bedroom (three have king-size beds, two offer twin beds), with a rocking chair and study desk, a vanity area with dressing room and an en suite bathroom with a shower and flushing toilet.
